Estefania Lazo-Herencia and Jack Goodman again join Austin News Real's Pam Thompson, this time to show video footage from their trip to monitor water quality of the Rio Chili, upstream and downstream of Arequipa, Peru.

The Rio Chili flows from the Andes Mountains to Estefania 's hometown of Arequipa, Peru. The Rio Chili passes through Arequipa in much the same way that the Colorado River flows through Austin.

Upstream, the Rio Chili is pristine. Downstream raw sewage flows directly into the river and there is very little life.
