National Wind and KRS Energy have launched Buffalo Wind Energy, LLC, a utility-scale, community wind project located in west central Randall County, Texas. The Buffalo Wind Project plans to develop up to 300 megawatts of wind energy.

E.ON has placed an order with Siemens Energy for the supply of 87 of its SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines for the Papalote Creek II wind power plant in San Patricio County, Texas. The project will have a total installed rated capacity of more than 200 megawatts (MW).
